Our eyes see only in still images. These images are made up of 3 colors. Red, blue, and green. These colors are just wavelengths of light that are reflected off objects. So the things we see are every color except the ones our eyes pick up. Colors we cannot even conceive. All those colors are just energy. Light, dark, shadow, and glare are all just levels of energy in the world around us. Had we evolved just a bit differently we would not see them. Colors are something our brain made up.  So the next time you look at something, try to imagine that. Imagine all the colors that that thing truly is, what it really looks like if our eyes are making things up and all we see is the scraps of energy things throw away.
Its just a thought. What are yours?

Very nice, and thought-provoking. What I consider, and what fascinates me the most is the fact that color is all perception. My red and your red may be wholly different concepts. It intrigues me to no end.
